What is Hot Yoga?

Hot yoga refers to a variety of yoga styles practiced in a heated room. The heat allows for a deeper stretch, increased flexibility, and helps flush toxins from the body through sweat. Our classes range in temperature based on style:

● Hot 26 & 2: 104°F
● Hot Vinyasa: 95°F
● Inferno Hot Pilates: 95°F
● Yoga Sculpt: 86°F
● Yin Yoga: 85°F

I’m new — where should I start?

We recommend starting with the Hot 26 & 2 class. It’s a beginner-friendly series that includes 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, taught in the same sequence every time. This consistency helps you build strength, flexibility, and balance while improving breath control and focus. It’s a great foundation for anyone new to hot yoga or returning after time away.

Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?

Absolutely not. Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age or flexibility. You don’t need to be flexible to begin—just willing to show up and do your best. It’s normal to take breaks or rest during class. The goal is to simply stay in the room, breathe, and allow your body to open up over time.

What should I bring to class?

Bring a yoga mat, a towel large enough to cover your mat, and water. If you don’t have your own, we offer rentals and water for sale at the front desk.

What should I wear to class?

Light, moisture-wicking, breathable workout clothes. Expect to sweat!

Can I practice if I am pregnant?

You must have clearance from your doctor and sign an updated waiver at the studio. Practicing while pregnant is not advised without professional approval.

Are there any health restrictions?

Yes. If you have any medical conditions, including high blood pressure, heart conditions, or are recovering from illness or injury, please consult your doctor before taking class. Always inform your instructor prior to class of any injuries or health concerns.

Are props used in class?

Yes. Props may be used depending on the class, and we provide everything you need at the studio.

Can I try a class before committing to the intro special?

We do not offer free trials. However, we offer drop-ins if you’d like to try one class first. As an affordable option, we also offer $15 drop-ins for our 6:00 a.m. (early bird) and 4:30 p.m. (happy hour) weekday classes.

How do I sign up for class?

Visit our website and click “Register.” After creating an account, you can log in and book your classes.

Why can’t I book classes if I’m on an AutoPay membership?

AutoPay memberships are processed monthly. If your membership renews on the 14th, for example, you won’t be able to book classes on or after the 15th until the payment has been processed. Please wait until your new billing cycle begins.

What is your cancellation or late fee policy?

At Hot Yoga 4 You RVC, we do not charge cancellation or late fees. If you booked a class through our website, app or MindBody, you can cancel anytime—even just minutes before class. However, if you booked through ClassPass, you must cancel directly through them. We do not have access to ClassPass subscriptions.

I booked through ClassPass. Can I switch classes, avoid late fees, or get my credits back through you?

No. ClassPass is a third-party platform and we have no control over your membership or billing. You must contact ClassPass directly.

How often should I practice?

Consistency is key. We recommend 2–3 times per week to see noticeable results. However, many students practice daily. Just listen to your body, stay hydrated, and take rest as needed.

Can I bring my phone or bag into the hot room?

No. All personal belongings must be stored in the cubbies outside the hot room. We lock the front entrance during class, so your items are secure.

What if I need to leave the room during class?

Leaving the hot room during class is not recommended. If you need a break, please rest on your mat. Staying in the heated environment helps your body acclimate and ensures a safe experience.

What if I leave something behind at the studio?

We have a designated lost and found. Items are kept for a limited time.

What is the difference between your classes? Are they all for beginners?

Each class style offers something different—some are more strength-based, some are slow and restorative, and others offer a steady flow of movement. You can view class descriptions by clicking the "Show Details" button next to any class on our schedule. Every class is open to beginners. Just be patient with yourself, take breaks when needed, and you’ll improve over time.

Is parking available?

Yes! Rockville Centre offers abundant parking around the studio. There is free parking before 9:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. throughout town. We are surrounded by municipal lots and metered street parking. Give yourself extra time to park and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to class.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early for class, especially if it’s your first time. This gives you time to check in, settle in, and get comfortable before class begins.

How old do you have to be to take a hot yoga class?

For safety and developmental reasons, students must be at least 16 years old to attend any
hot yoga or hot Pilates class at Hot Yoga 4 You RVC. Minors under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian provide consent by signing the waiver prior to their first class.
